Nancy (played once again by Heather Langenkamp) returns to the Nightmare movies to aid a group of young teenagers who are incarcerated in a special hospital for patients with sleeping disorders. She is the only one who knows why these kids are so afraid to go to sleep- they are being terrorized by the unkillable dream demon Freddy Krueger. Acting as their mentor and guide, Nancy trains the formerly helpless inmates to do battle with Freddy in the dreamworld; and to destroy him for good (yeah, like THAT's ever going to happen). Co-written by Wes Craven, this stands as one of the best Nightmare sequels ever, with interesting revelations as to Freddy's origins as well as some really good FX scenes. Skip Part 2 and jump straight to this one after watching the first movie.
