Review by Tom Allen
3 Stars out of 4

The first thing you notice about WipeOut 3 is its annoyingly tiny, futuristic text. Man, is this alienating. The instruction booklet does the same thing!

This reminds me of that commercial where a little kid says, "I've always believed that form should follow function." You can say that again.

WipeOut 3 is held in high regard by racing fans. While the graphics are very good, especially in the mega mall, I found that none of the vehicles controlled to my particular tastes. Then again, my WipeOut skills are not up to par. The worst fault of this game is that it offers nothing new.

Key features include hi-res, two-player horizontal or vertical split screen, Dual Shock support, eight new tracks, seven new weapons, and of course, Death Match play.
