1 Star out of 4

Based on the comic book character that spawned an Emmy-winning animated television series, Spawn the video game has absolutely none of the intelligence of the former media.

Spawn is a short, brainless brawler with weapons (artillery) and there's nothing much else to say. The game play doesn't really involve technique or skill, just the will to destruct.

None of the characters come alive in this game. Unfortunately, they just feel like mindless vehicles for violence. Spawn may earn a fast buck or two, but pretty soon that's all this game will be worth.
