Review by Tom Allen
3 Stars out of 4
(Review of PS1 version)

This review covers both PlayStation and Nintendo 64 versions. The traditional game of b-ball offers nice replays and quality camerawork. The all-new arcade mode out-jams Jam with big-ass dunks and flaming balls. Yes, flaming balls.

The highlight of the game is the one-on-one court mode, with absolutely no referees. Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, and Dr. J are just a few of the stars on the one-on-one roster. This mode is a lot of fun, because you can turn any number of rules on or off. Every rule you can think of is there for you to accept or reject.

Fairly or unfairly, however, NBA 2K will steal all the glory.
