3½ Stars out of 4

NBA 2K1 has the honor of being one of the best sports games on the Dreamcast. Like NFL 2K1, this game features multi-player networking over the internet, for a total of eight possible players from across the world.

In the franchise mode, you can hone your own team from scratch and trade pro players, rookies, and free agents. Even retired NBA players from as early as the 1950's are selectable in this game.

With new and dynamic camera angles for dunk shots, lots of new fancy moves, and street courts never before seen in the series, NBA 2K1 has everything a basketball fan could want. The superior graphics and sound complete what is already a stellar package.
