Not many boxing games are available these days. You've got Knockout Kings,
Ready to Rumble, and now, Acclaim releases HBO Boxing, the first game with
George Foreman.
A good deal of game play centers around combo punches. For a two-punch combo, press and
hold a button. For a three-punch combo, press and hold two buttons. Obviously, for one punch,
just tap the button. You are supposed to be able to throw combos while moving, but the slow
controls don't allow for a lot of fancy footwork.
Boxing is a visually limiting sport, so it's hard to get excited about a game that relies on
PlayStation graphics. The blocky textures and figures are not nearly as well animated as Ready
to Rumble 2.
