The Dreamcast has alot of innovative titles in its library, and Aero
Wings is one of them. Have you ever seen a air show? Well imagion you
could do the turns, barrel rolls and other death defying stunts. Well
with this game you can!
First of all the graphics in this game are not the greatest, but
when your cruising at 20 thousand feet who cares? The plane models are
extremely detailed and you will see some famaiar plane designs such as
the F-15 etc. The regular gameplay mode is kinda hard and the instructor
will defiantely yell at you alot for not staying in formation but
otherwise its fun and adds a new challenge that is not in all the other
jet games. The physics of the game are realistic and you can almosst
fellthe G forces pushin the blood to your feet:). But the best part of
the whole game is the gameplay. You can fly with up to 6 planes, and
you can decided whether you want to be the leader or one of the
following planes and try to keep in formation. The best part is ordering
ur team to do different formations. You have a choice of diamond, trailing,
etc.
When in free play mode you can choose from many different areas to fly
in, many of them quite beautiful. And after you have finished free play
or crashed, you can watch the replays. This is the best part of the
game by far. You can choose your views , and they are quite dramatic. So
the bottam line to this is if you are looking for a good aerobatics
game, this is it.
