3½ stars out of 4

First-rate action thriller with Geena Davis and Samuel Jackson both radiating excellent chemistry. An amnesiac housewife (Davis) starts having bizarre flashbacks and dreams of a violent past life; so she hires a private detective (Jackson) to help her discover her true identity. However, she's totally unprepared for what she finds out - a secret so dangerously threatening that people would kill to keep it from ever being uncovered. Relentlessly entertaining, this testosterone-fueled flick has some of the best action sequences you'll ever see, as well as plenty of solid humor and witty dialogue between the two intensely likable leads. It is after all scripted by Lethal Weapon/ Last Boy Scout scribe Shane Black, so yeah- you can expect something pretty damn special.
