Review by Ken
2½ stars out of 4
The third movie involves YET another group of teenagers who go to Camp
Crystal Lake searching for kicks and hoping to get laid (It just occurred to
me how the screenwriters for the Friday franchise must have a really easy
job). However, Jason Vorhees is still not dead yet, and he responds to this
intrusion on his turf in various violently graphic ways. Only difference
this time is that viewers get to experience the carnage in mind-blowing 3-D
vision. Actually, the 3-D effects ain't really that spectacular, except for
this one scene where Jason squashes this guy's head so hard with his bare
hands that the fellow's eyeballs pop right out at you. Friday Part 3 is also
notable because this is where Jason adopts his trademark hockey mask look
for the first time(He wore a paperbag over his head in Part 2).
