The fun and gore continues as this sequel picks up right where the first
movie left off; with Ash still stuck in the evil forest and forced to
fend off its horrid supernatural residents. Expect lots of stomach-churning
dismemberment and even weird, comical moments like a nude female corpse
doing a trippy ballet routine. Similar to Part 1, the effects here are
cheap but shockingly effective. And as always, Ash is a joy to watch-
especially when his personality tends to alternate between hysterical
paranoia to that of dead-on seriousness with amazing swiftness and ease.
Easily one of the best horror sequels of the past decade.
