I must admit I used to hate Mr.Manson, a while ago. Today, after his last
change in looks and direction, he seems a bit more original than the
boring satanistic type of guy but still he says there will be further
mutations and evolutions. Right now, anyway, he seems a cross between a
drugged David Bowie and the demented son of Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and this
might be interesting. He doesn't want to be mistaken for a Trent Reznor
creature, and sometimes he even remixes his own tracks (I've recently
heard one of is b-sides incorporating jazz samples and a jungle drum loop
that has usually been territory of people like Underworld). I don't think
I hate him; I still don't like Manson because I'm not convinced of his
talent yet. But I'm definitely curious about his next moves. Then why did
I dig this disc? Track 1 is the "Infected by the Scourge of the
Earth" (aka Jimmy Cauty of KLF fame) mix, so this alone means it is
worth getting the single, for me. Expect also some fragments from a rare
recording of the Red Army Choir made by The KLF in back in 1993. As a bonus
you get a Danny Saber remix, the original version and a "Drug Screen
Saver" for your computer.
